What we store

Your email address, an optional display name, your timezone, and the writing log you enter — projects, drafts, word counts, session times, and notes. That's the product: we store it so we can chart it back to you. If you enter a contest, we also hold your entry text — winners' entries are kept and shown publicly; everyone else's are deleted when results publish.

What we don't do

No analytics scripts, no ad tracking, no selling or sharing your data. The only cookie is the session cookie that keeps you signed in.

Who processes your data

The app and its database run on DigitalOcean in the United States. Resend delivers our email — account messages like password resets, and, only if you opted in, occasional product news. Sentry receives error reports when something breaks; those contain technical details, not your writing.

Marketing email is opt-in

You only get product news if you checked the box at registration or joined the list on our site. Every mailing includes an unsubscribe link, and deleting your account removes you too.

The widget shows what you choose

The embeddable progress widget is off until you turn it on, and it only ever shows the fields you enable — hidden fields never leave the server. Revoking its key in Settings shuts it off.

Your data is yours

Download your complete writing log anytime as a CSV from Settings. You can also delete your account there — that permanently and immediately erases your account and everything you've logged.
